I don’t think it’s bad to want a different tone on MSB, but the thing I can’t get over is it was unilaterally decided on everyone’s behalf that they were changing the fundamentals of a longstanding forum, and then they got mad that people were upset about it (well not me, I was already banned). You can’t do a Message Board Coup and expect everyone to just be fine with it.

… more or less, that’s what I meant, they banned me before I could go back and clarify with the edit button. They count it as me requesting to be banned, whatever. Except they said requesting to be banned is no longer a thing they allow. And yet, behold. I am still banned.
Well, they’re not going to go and apply a rule that wasn’t in place when…ah.

it’s so frustratingly disingenuous to pretend like being the current caretaker of a community forum, that you’ve been the caretaker for for less than 20% of its total run time, is somehow the same as building and running your own game.
those two things are very different things. we all can see that.
