Since Derp and Ghost keep bringing it up, I’ll repeat a point I’ve made before:

People are going to keep talking about the community being hijacked, because at the end of the day, before any of this happened, any of YOU who feel the need to talk about bullies being mean - YOU could have made your own board, and made it however you wanted.

Instead, you decided to change the rules of the board we were all on and throw anyone who disagreed out. Which is the root of it all. And you know it. Because you keep bringing up how we went somewhere else and made the rules we wanted.

And it’s pretty fucked up how you keep rewriting history to justify the decision.

Another person banned for person attacks, despite making fewer personal attacks than Ghost. Maybe it was the big words?

Of course, they had to ban @Kestrel. You showed up with receipts about their hypocrisy. 12/10. Would also upvote if I could.

so, curious, how could a game get you to run a plot that could have an effect on the setting, affect the metaplot or change the world in some sort of way? Is it just as simple as keeping that “You can do whatever you want here as long as it doesn’t break the world” on the tin or would you need something else?

A way to help plot along is, perhaps, inject bureaucracy.

For all of its other problems, a lack of plot allowances is not one that Shadowrun: Denver has. Because Shadowrun has quantifiable resources, you need cash for gear and rent and etc. You can’t just handwaive payments like you do with Resources or Wealth merits like you do with Chronicles or WoD or Exalted or [other example game].

Sure you could get cash to pay for things, but there is still an in-depth system used to purchase gear - so much that some players specifically made fixer PCs to do all the paperwork for other people.

This is Shadowrun in general. Denver adds detailed rules for players to circumvent this whole process and instead go get the SWAG themselves. Five Finger Discount style. Sure, you could go through the request process to get SWAG and wait (time). Or you can go PLOT for it and get it faster, and possibly cheaper.

My Otaku sits in chargen at Shadowrun Denver Fifteen years waiting for staff to officially unban them for any/all, since they were soft-unbanned/only got banned in the first place because of fuckery.

It has been two months, yet the fuckery continues.

In the Otaku-specific instance, at the time I entered chargen they were legal. There was some fuckery that occurred that I went over elsewhere and can go over again, sure why not. But later.
