I kind of feel bad for her insofar as it really felt like she was totally out of her depth both rhetorically and emotionally, but being out of one’s depth emotionally doesn’t mean other people should have to put up with your relentless diatribes.

I always lean towards “forgive and let back in when possible,” but in this case I think “when possible” would be “after some hard evidence indicating serious work on emotional regulation.”

I more or less agree, but I also get worried when people come of this strong about MUSHing, because it’s usually indicative of MU* being an extremely negative coping mechanism. I know it sounds silly, but it is a bit of an addicting hobby, especially since it incorporates a sense of social interaction and connection that we might not have otherwise. It may be deeply unhealthy for them to keep MU*ing in general without taking a long look at why they react this vociferously toward strangers about something that largely has very few stakes. It sounds like they have a pattern of this behavior on that Haven game, so asking them to do an in-depth analysis of their reactions and why they experienced this extreme affective response might be a bit much, but … yeah.

Yeah, I posted that before I learned that she has a history on Haven.

@Tez I don’t participate in this community much beyond lurking, but I’d encourage staff to permanently ban vs just a temporary ban. It may very well NOT be the person I’m thinking it is, but she reads a lot like a very problematic troll that’s haunted Haven for like a decade now, or something like that? The way that thread unfolded reads exactly like the pattern of behavior I’ve seen there in the past from RG/Rage Girl as she’s colloquially been dubbed there (seems very reasonable if confused -> minor squabbles over misunderstandings -> sudden anger directed at the first person to feed the troll -> lapsing into accusing people of being staff/cheaters, and/or using slurs and threatening to kill people).

I just looked back through the threads having missed it, but it looks like this happened:

                  freak gas fight

                  And my reaction is:

                  Meh

Perhaps she’ll find people to agree with her that we’re all children, trolls, dumbfucks, transphobes, and fake queers on MSB.

I’m sad that I don’t know what the hell she’s said since I can’t get through those walls of text.

Then again, it’s probably just 5x the same thing in her shorter posts.

I hate the asshole who decided keyboards don’t need caps lock lights. Fuck you whoever you are.

For the record, when I type in all caps, I am holding down the shift key with my pinky. Caps lock is for lazy fucks.

@Jennkryst It’s true. I’m a barbarian. I’ll press caps lock to capitalize a single letter instead of pressing shift.

It absolutely leads to me having to retype shit before sending/sharing because I forgot to turn it off

I’m a Vim user so I’ve been mapping Caps Lock to escape for many many years. I can’t remember the last time I had the ability to press Caps Lock.
