Today while listening to @Snackness talk about one of her scenes, I was reminded of the time me and @KarmaBum had characters “escaping” a hospital via icy fire escape and just… failing
Over and over.

I always had fun with the concept of messengers on Arx, but one of my favorite memories was receiving a really spicy one after one of those big assemblies and just on a whim wondering, ok but what if my character said something really dumb and fucked this up? Knowing the other player would run with it.
The growing disgust in her responses while we cackled OOC was just
It’s stuff like that that makes me miss having the spoons to play, and remember this hobby fondly!

I love comedy in RP. A lot of my friends are fucking great at it and I am 100% shamelessly biased. My favorite kind of RP comedy is the kind where it’s not just amusing, it’s side-splitting hilarious and it affects YOU as the PLAYER so now you get to channel that mirth AUTHENTICALLY through your character.
There have been multiple times where I’ve posed my character trying to resume the flow of the scene but then having to continue laughing in the middle of it because I was still cracking up. Shout out to @ham @sao and @Pyrephox
Naturally, @Tez is amazing at it too. I haven’t played too much with @tsar but I STILL remember how amused I was when Erik came to patch up Gil’s broken nose. scar has been absolutely killing me.

I keep struggling to come up with specific examples of things that were hilarious, and yet so many of my favorite RPers have made me laugh. One shout out:
@junipersky Whoever is next the Dominus is still going to have an inexplicable stick tchotchke in the Dominus’s room.

@sao I GOT TO RP ABOUT THE STICK!! I think. Maybe. I might’ve just been examining every single object in your room and every object within an object. I feel like I ICly asked about that stick though.
Also how could I forget @Rathenhope who ALWAYS rolls with the punches for comedy. I am particularly fond of a fish-out-of-water character he played in a WoD game with me.

My character and his sigot getting caught in a met trap (for pirates?) and flung into the air upside down. She was squeamish about bugs and he was trying fruitlessly to blow, stare, wriggle a bug innocently marching right to her. I think @KarmaBum saved them.

@heysparky hah! I remember that. IIRC, Thez showed up completely unprepared to help with anything (as was his custom) and wound up dangling from the rope at one point before he let go and they just thumped to the ground.
I miss that idiot PC.

This one is a bit more of an OOC amusement, and technically not MU* related, but it still makes me laugh, so I will share.
There was an RP mission going on, and there were a couple different characters along. Our two main players I will call Kaz and Quill. Kaz is still learning to fight, and as such is taken aback when a group of enemies sets on the party.
Kaz rolls really well. Remarkably well. The best kind of dice you can get well. Kaz decides to RP it as kicking one of the enemies in the balls.
Enemies have been listed by numbers, so Kaz pose identifies the target of this kick as [1]. The thing about this system is that… listing with these brackets will pull a name from the party list.
What Kaz means to pose is,
Kaz , now spun around, is seeing red. How DARE this guy try and stab him from behind! Bringing his leg back, he immediately sends his foot right into [1]'s crotch before turning and giving Quill a thumbs up for the attempted help.
