@catzilla I think the recent banning post indicates the general community stance on that.
@Meg said in Discussion: On Dragon Wings:
I had a whole game concept based around that once, but since I lack follow through-- It’s cool to see someone else doing it too.
Was that the matrilineal thing? I remember that concept and still think it would be really cool.
@hellfrog I’m glad it was just a misunderstanding. And for clarification, we are fighting the dragons.

@hellfrog said in Discussion: On Dragon Wings:
dragon riders but instead of being cool and fighting each other they are kind of like lawnmowers burning caustic braum hair out of the atmosphere iirc and also if the dragons have sex their riders have sex
Not sure why I caught these strays in 2026 but I’ll just be in my lane having fun, dude.

Kizraeth clutches in late January; Coraneth in early March. That leaves plenty of time to establish a Candidate character and build up a bit of a story arch leading up to trying to impress a dragon of your very own. If you’re not confident on theme, imo going this route can be a smoother introduction.
Current plot threads involve the development of rival factions of dragonriders (PVE).
@hellfrog I think I tried to do a rewatch like ten years ago and couldn’t or wouldn’t. Mean middle school girl go live in computer. What a timestamp, though. Internet trolls from the 1900s.

I don’t want to ruin the plot of Serial Experiments Lain for you, but…

ETA: TO BE CLEAR to everyone Tez abuses me with love, don’t worry. She’s not a forum despot.
she’s a forum little teapot

@Tez teapot size comparison, frog for scale. (Tez is small, everyone.)
@Aria Not to mention switching up your writing style? If that’s a concern for Carmen Sandiego-type roleplayers? I feel like I say the same stupid words all the time on repeat.
In my youth, I could do so many alts. Roster writing helps fulfill that itch without all the commitment (and I guess, rp crime).
It may be worth stating that this type of ban doesn’t have to be representative of who the player is as a person. As opposed to like… a sex pest ban or banning one of those people qualified to teach a masterclass on toxicity and manipulation. It’s okay for a place to just… not be right for you.
@Yam I mean, earlier in the intro to mu*ing thread it was mentioned about nuerodiverse our community is. We’d be just as well served by a masterclass on how to communicate a clear boundary instead of relying on hints and easily misinterpreted social cues. But I know that would give plenty of people panic attacks, too. This stuff is all just part of the beautiful mess.
@Yam Is this in reference to WoD culture? If so, does not apply.
I can only speak for myself in that… being admin on a game is not a customer service position and if you take out your bullshit on admin like it is one even a little bit, you run the risk of being invited to leave. That might be a difficult metric, but so is being a little asshole.
PSA: Don’t treat customer service workers poorly, either.
@Tez ngl when you told @Yam to get fucked while they were being like " ;_; forgive others," i thought wow TOO FAR

It doesn’t leave a lot of room for ambiguity regarding your tone, for sure.
@Third-Eye To quote a scholar (@Tat), CG can be as much an interview period to feel out a player and how they navigate your system, hearing the word no, etc.
I’ve banned someone during CG for being generally disruptive, becoming increasingly agitated with the system and insisting thematic areas that were explicitly not allowed should be plausible for them because they could talk in circles real good.
@Yam There is a distinction between lacking the ability to offer grace and choosing not to offer grace. I understand that you qualify some sort of moral superiority to being forgiving, but forgiveness isn’t something owed. In our hobby, admin are going to make judgment calls. If those judgment calls don’t align with your world view to this level where you’re still chewing on it, that’s when you as a player should consider playing on a different game. (This is theoretical. I don’t know if you play there. I don’t play there.)
@Ominous Would you say that Meg’s power over this poll is negatively impacting you?
