@MisterBoring They used to be in your user profile, which they may still be, but now they’re also more accessible: there’s a paintbrush icon on the bottom left in the menu bar, and it’ll bring up a quick skin picker.

It’s always sending me to the top of the thread instead of the last post I read, but I could be doing the thing wrong.

Edit: okay so now that I’ve said that it’s stopped, maybe it’s only when there’s new post?

Does anybody know if/how you can make the buttons and stuff be across the top instead of the side, before I spend a bunch of time hunting for it?

@Faraday From what I can find, it looks like NodeBB built an entirely new default theme for v3 rather than continue to iterate on the old one. From this Github, I did find this:

For the v3.x release line, Persona will be a supported theme bundled with NodeBB, but will not be active by default.

So possibly the old style could be turned on?

Would that old style be a per user option or a “we all go back to the old style together” situation?

Beyond using this forum, I have no experience with NodeBB.

Changed themes from the default since other people seemed to hate it as much as I do. Bar is back on top.

@MisterBoring I changed themes bc everyone everywhere hated it and no one at all liked the new layout. I definitely didn’t take the fact that a few early voices agreed with my bias against it to excuse changing. Absolutely no one anywhere at all expressed approval of it.

I don’t care what it looks like, but is there a skin where the page-up/page-down button does not cover up the drop-down to edit or delete your post when your post is the last one?

Edited to add that this is fixed, perhaps by magic.

It’s not a bug, but the very, very slight color difference between quotes and posts makes my eyes hurt when there are several on screen at once. Is there a way to change that?

@Lemon-Fox The colours themselves are skin dependent, which can be found in the User Settings section (click/tap your picture at the top, then ‘Settings’). But from my limited testing, all the skins seem to have some level of difference between quote and post body.

Cyborg is the only darkish theme I found that also has dark quote boxes.
