@Third-Eye for menacing me
Always, my friend of many stupid wild animal fights. Always.

mu drama that’s so incomprehensible that it’s barely even drama anymore

Finding a niche of our incestuous little hobby that’s filled with people I don’t know and have never played with before.

Yeees. That’s such a fun and bewildering thing. It’s rare!

The trick is to never actually play anywhere but then occasionally dip your toes back in and then immediately run away. Everything stays fresh and new and full of stranger danger!!

@Wizz you’re a goddamn genius

When everyone is happy about their weird IC consequences.
-
Awesome RPers you feel totally safe getting into vicious IC arguments with.
-
@Roz That doesn’t happen. EVER.

I ran my first massive combat scene last night on Seven Nations. I was very rusty running combat, so there was notable lag setting everything up properly. But I was so thrilled that we had 19 people logged in. Everyone had a great time, everyone got their moment to be absolutely badass, everyone felt relevant(which is exactly my goal when it comes to these kind of events).
Also, the combat was pretty balanced, that was my biggest fear. Thanks for @Roadspike dropping some months ago for looking at combat logs and giving some advice. It’s not where I want it to be, but it’s definitely far better than I expected.
Running another one tonight, because I feel like punishing already damaged characters. Because it’s a siege. No breaks. It took two years to get here and I’m just so…so damn happy. I felt rewarded for running it and the players seemed to really enjoy it, despite my consistent ability to feel like I’m never doing enough. But that’s my own bugbear to deal with.

I finished chargen for Shatteredmu last night, which seems like a really cool game that I am sincerely excited to play. Also, I completed my own Ares installation a couple days ago for a thing I’ve been working on the last few months and it’s gratifying to take that step forward. Has been a good MU week for me and i just felt like sharing the vibe

I love having places where I can play with my friends again, even if I wish we were all at the SAME place. Plus, I just saw a zombie-survival game in development on Ares and the hype is real, it’s like people are finally building the games I want to play and I didn’t even have to do anything!!

It’s a mild peeve when there are four people in a scene, each responding to four different conversation threads per pose. It’s a little difficult to follow along with in the moment, and worse when you’re trying to read a posted scene.
However, I think it’s amazing that we’re all able to suspend our disbelief of what’s happening and play out four separate moments simultaneously, without it ruining the continuity of the scene. Human imagination is magical like that!

When my Google history is once again filled with “what happens if you inject someone with [stuff],” it’s a sure sign I’m entertained by a M*.

I opened this thread and it was on this post somehow and it made me laugh. Thanks.

@tsar It’s as true now as it was then…

When you’ve got your brain-weasels going full-bore, and then someone reaches out about RP, and those nasty scratchy bitey things quiet down for a little bit.
-
Mention porn. Reading your char getting talked about in the logs of other folks. Love.
