@dvoraen Even if it is in their favor, it’s still a day that is deeply mixed because of the pain and trauma that is associated with it. Every adoption is a broken family, even if it’s in the best interest of the child. There is no adoptee without adoption trauma, and the same goes for natural parents, even those who voluntarily gave up their parental rights. It absolutely is a special day for their family, and also it is one that likely comes with other emotions as well.

I was going to make a New Jersey joke, but upon reflection, Atlantic City would make a great setting. Lots of class issues, places for things to hide…

Seeking ancestral MU knowledgeposted in Game Gab
I recently finished the most recent October Daye book and a friend mentioned that the first few books were basically just lifted from some WoD MU back in the mists of time. It’s my favorite brain candy series and if anyone here played with her, I’d really love more info on what was lifted, the characters and events in their original contexts, that sort of thing. I just started a reread with this in mind and I’m trying to see if I can spot things that are glaring. No real reason, the exercise is just tickling my brain.

@Jennkryst said in Missed Settings:
There was that Legally Distinct Not-Really Zombies game set in Canada where people got infested with worms instead of your usual virus and/or Last of Us Fungus. But it was tricksy.
Tricksy how?
For my own contribution, I would love to see a Dystopia Rising MU. I loved the hell out of that LARP when I was young and could run around the woods all night.

@NotSanni Ten bucks says this is the same guy who did this sad display a few weeks ago. This is totally alpha job-having behavior.

RE: troll threadposted in Game Gab
@Necro Nah. It’s the fact that the two accounts were made at the exact same time about fifteen minutes ago. Doesn’t take a genius. It’s really sad that you can’t find somewhere to scream online that has more than like ten active users. You’re basically the human equivalent of the stench of BO and crusty cum sock and it’s really funny that you think this is… anything.
Have your tantrum, I guess. Mwah.

RE: troll threadposted in Game Gab
@bnuuy That’s rich coming from a guy who makes multiple socks on a MU forum to upvote himself.

@labsunlimited Can you imagine how cool he felt writing that, dick in his hand, Dread up on a TOR browser so he can feel like a badass hacker when it’s really just Reddit for losers

@Pavel I think it’s part and parcel. The overinvestment is both one of time and emotional connection. You see it in LARP as well – when people choose the imaginary life and identity over their real one, you get the recipe for Chernobyl-caliber meltdowns.
