I honestly have so much affection for the people on Arx. But when I logged on with the oomph to RP my brain went, “It has been too long, it is too weird, and you don’t know what is going on, so don’t even try.”
The mind gremlins won so I didn’t rp but I really do like all you people.

@imstillhere this is the perfect place to employ the playing dumb tactic. Take it at face value: they are looking for RP! They have not specified who or what in any way. If they start being weird about it, ignore everything that isn’t a statement you can actually respond to and keep RPing unless/until it’s not fun. If they get weird-weird, report to staff! If they only wanted a cute girl and you show up instead, they’re fully capable of exiting the scene.

Somebody asked me to RP on a particular RP hook/behavior of theirs, then when I showed up to RP about it, they freaked out at me IC for invading their privacy. Mean stuff was said. Then at the end they were like “nah I’m not mad you just need to learn boundaries.”
