They were cuter and probably had more combined weight!

ETA: also now that i am looking longer, i am really concerned about the fact that there are four cubs in the first pic. aw, oh no, oh jeez.

Nature sucks – another bear took one out, for unknown reasons. Apparently no litter of four has survived intact since they started tracking.

I was talking to a friend about fat bear week, and another friend who was partially overhearing our conversation got a really weird look on their face. When I asked what was wrong, they were like ‘wtf you guys talking about?’. I explained and they looked really relieved suddenly. They replied with, ‘that is NOT what I thought you were talking about’

As for the bears, I feel conflicted about who to vote for this year.
