I have a very nice, very warm coat that cost me a pretty penny when I bought it a few years back. My cats love to sleep on it, so it’s constantly covered in hair – but that’s not so bad, a quick wash and dry clears it up.

The other day though, I heard a distinct ripping sound, walk into my room, and one of the little punks was carefully but very thoroughly ripping out the stitching of the inside sleeve seam with her teeth. This is the same goblin that is always trying to rip the buttons off all of my clothes, just for the hell of it, and destroys every cord she can get her little demon paws on.

WHY

Due to storm damage at his school, my son is in remote instruction all week and I hate it just as much as I hated it the first time.

Addendum to the peeve: All of my damn clothes are covered in hair. I am consciously buying fabrics less likely to accumulate hair, and there are a bunch of lint rollers around the house but to no avail; it’s an endless loop, a game of whack’a’mole I can’t win.

I love my cats, but our elderly one is so very persicknicky when it comes to the state of the litter boxes. And if it’s not up to his standards, we’ll find a shirt peed on. It hasn’t happened in a long time, as in years, but it’s still annoying when it does happen.

And I know it’s just what he believes the litter boxes should be. So it doesn’t matter that I hadn’t cleaned them two days ago(I try to clean them every other day, all three of them), because the moment I clean them, he sees this and scampers to the box to take a piss.

I think, “really, dude?” Now I have to soak my Gojira tour shirt in vinegar for the next couple hours because you decides to be a little shit about it.

I can hear out of only one ear, and breathe out of only the opposite nostril. You would think this would not be super disorienting, but it totally is when I get up and walk around. Also wtf. I guess it’s better than full on everything though.

@junipersky yes, though in fairness i tend to get a bit of vertigo whenever I have any sort of upper respiratory thing. this is not all out spinnning but just like, a little tilt as I’m walking. Which is also mild but weird. I did take another covid test today just in case, and nope.

When I get a cold it lasts for like, four days.

Except the cough. That sticks around for a month.

Went to the gym today. The gym’s owner was standing by the racks where you drop your purse, phone, keys, all that stuff; he was having a conversation with one of his clients there. As I walked up, he was explaining to her, “If you look at the numbers, white people in America aren’t doing as well as Asians or” and he dropped his voice to a whisper here “Jews.”

I don’t want to leave this gym. I have a really good relationship with my trainer. But everything about that conversation is raising huge red flags and I don’t know if I’ll ever feel comfortable there again.
