MU Peeves Thread

I think the short answer is that the person making the decisions doesn’t know for sure that they’re a bad actor.
They might have heard rumours. But people lie. And every messy conflict has two sides coming away with two different inaccurate stories even if they don’t -think- they’re lying. Gamerunners aren’t wrong if they want to judge a player by their firsthand experiences with that player rather than an incomplete narrative.
Disclaimer: I’m not on the grapevine so don’t take this as commentary on any specific situation that might be currently unfolding.

I think it’s a combination of this and one of those old nerd fallacies about avoiding exclusion, and it’s that latter idea that causes the most problems. At least anecdotally.

Why is there a concern with “we have to be fair” to people who are toxic to staff and other players, totally obnoxious, or otherwise a bad fit?
Every day I am grateful that the community has shifted away from this batshit behavior. IF THE VIBES ARE RANCID, BYE BYE.

I’m also grateful that as a hobby we collectively kicked all the edgy racists and misogynists to the curb. It’s the best.

@Juniper Since I’ve moved to doing YouTube content, that these people are always going to exist. And I’ve also learned that when they go low, I go to lower to hell.

(In a non-PVP game)
Combat stats are restricted but social stats can be maxed out no problem.

@catzilla You’ve just gotta get better at looksmaxxing.
This is apparently a real term.

@catzilla I’m going to ignore the anti-pvp rules and roll initiative if you pull that face at me.
