I present you with… our emergency Christmas “sports injury” 🥹
-
I wish to join the void worship. Especially as the one void hates me. Since she keeps being midly sick (diarrhea and now an eye infection) and I have to keep giving her medication she DOES NOT LIKE so I am not making much headway in making her a friend. (Sadly, she learned that I tried to put the yucky meds in a treat once and she has decided ALL treats are tricks now and will not eat them.)

Mountain Rose with Mallow, because I felt like color coding my forced snuggles.

@IoleRae
She really is!! And her hair is like silk.She came in with the rest of this family (10 in all) and we thought she was Periwinkle’s daughter, while Cleome was mama to the 7 babies. Rose and Periwinkle got spayed and we intended for them to go back to the shelter together.
However, after surgery Cleome kicked Periwinkle out of the family by hissing and swatting at her, but let Rose come back. Ever since it has been obvious that Rose and Cleome are a pair. Rose is obsessed with Cleome and Cleome cares for Rose like a mother more than an aunt. We just bowed to the will of the cats and will bond Cleome and Rose to be adopted as a pair even if it does mean they might not be adopted for a while. (Bonded kittens stay at the shelter an average of about two weeks longer, bonded adults? Years. But better they stay at the rescue warm, fed, loved, and together then lose the other creature they love most.)

Got out of the shower before work and caught this cuteness, just a shame I couldn’t get a less blurry pic.
That’s Alucard with his three little surprise babies, two voids and a baby tux, snuggling and grooming.
He is such a sweet, devoted papa cat and has been since they were born, always near them and watching over them.

The kittens are getting real demanding about mama feeding them. (Technically they don’t need to nurse any more. It is just comfort at this point.)

Babies who won’t leave mama alone go cuddle jail. (My arms)

Clover wanted to snuggle but I wanted my hand free to play on my phone. So we compromised and I made my scarf into a kitten baby Bjorn.

Why is this little boy so perfect?!

The eyes let you know that even if they aren’t in the same litter they are for sure related.

So our dog, who has a very sensitive stomach, has been rather rude the last few days. And when I say rather rude, I mean the farts have been so frequent and so rank that we’ve had candles burning and the windows open in January.
Well, earlier tonight our neighbor called me to ask if we could smell natural gas in our house, which we could not. PGW was called and an emergency technician was sent out with a meter to check both of our houses to identify where the leak could be coming from, given that the neighbor said he and his wife could smell it intermittently from the area around our shared wall, right around where the kitchens/livingrooms are in both our houses.
After checking multiple levels of both residences with his equipment, the tech couldn’t find anything. At all.
I feel like there’s a non-zero chance that the local gas company was called to check for an emergency gas leak that was coming from our dog’s butt and seeping into the house next door.
