I hate when people say that, because it’s so obviously bullshit. “Your hair looks great”, “I’m late because traffic was bad”, “It was so nice to see you”, “We’ll do lunch soon” - we all lie all the time. If you say you don’t you’re lying, so therefore you do in fact lie.
There have been multiple movies about this.

I have been late because of traffic!
But in general, everyone lies. Especially when we don’t think it’s important. It’s just like everyone has stolen or tried to steal. Especially when we are small children and don’t even have the vaguest notions of petty little things like ownership or payment for goods, etc.
I wouldn’t have accepted either apology as has been said
If you had to format the apology for someone else, and they still couldn’t follow it, and even if they did follow it it was obvious by this point the entire apology was disingenuous so… not worth much.

Idk there’s degrees, like “I would not impugn someone’s character by claiming something about them that I knew was false” is something I’d believe would be true for most people. I don’t think many people lie about important things, it always surprises me when someone does

@Apos Oh, I definitely agree. But if someone responds with “I never lie” I immediately don’t trust them about anything else, either.

@Apos I’m always surprised by how many people will lie about things I said or did in open court where there’s a person literally typing everything I say.
Humans are pretty dumb about what they think they can get away with.

Working in the medical field for as long as I have, I’ve come to the conclusion that people lie a lot. More about health related things than other things but. It’s just odd when I have people’s test results and they just say that the instrument is wrong.

@Testament it’s amazing how inaccurate scientific instruments mysteriously are but only when testing for methamphetamine. Otherwise they work great. But all meth positives are lies.

I think he won’t change. I think he’s going to get himself in trouble again. I think the only lesson he’s learned is to not get caught. Has he learned to be a good person? Probably not.
What a complete and utter waste of skin this person is.

Wanting to work to get your game running(better, it’s already running), but so many different RL priorities keep cropping to take your attention.
And then you feel like you’re ignoring said game for not having enough time between priorities, work, sleep, etc.
It’d be nice to have a free weekend at some point.

This hasn’t even happened to me in at least a year, probably more, yet when I think about it happening it still makes me unreasonably annoyed.
When you come into a scene that’s already going on and don’t wait for anyone to pose any kind of set, you just pose in lalala whatever with no regard for anything you might be walking into. One day that’s going to happen to me, and I’m going to pose back that the entire bar is flooded yet somehow the barstool you just sat on is also on fire. Because HOW HARD IS IT TO WAIT FOR A TINY FUCKING SETPOSE FOR GOD’S SAKE TURNS OUT THINGS ARE ALREADY HAPPENING IN HERE THAT AREN’T YOU.

@ham I’d ask if the game has actions (or whatever the equivalent is - setting a message that describes what your character is doing for new people walk in)
But what am I kidding? People don’t update those either, lol.
