What do you dream about?
Edit: AKA, your nighttime hallucinations.

not all of them are nearly this fun, BUT my favorite recent dream was that an older man and I were riding in the back of a wagon that was traveling through a dark forest at sunset. the trees were all bare and there was a sort of eerie feeling in the air, as behind us a cloud of dust started to rise from the trail.
I leaned out of the back of the wagon to try and see what was coming up on us, and it was just…a baby, like full on sprinting, supernaturally fast. I turned to the older man in a panic and he was like, “you know what would really be scary? if that baby’s eyes were glowing.”
and sure enough I turned back around and the baby’s eyes flashed on like floodlights.
I woke up just absolutely terrified and confused until I thought about it for three seconds, lol.

I have very vivid, cinematic dreams and often have a good memory of them when I wake—but, unfortunately, the ones that stay PAST that so that I remember them days later are usually the anxiety dreams. Which all have a basic template:
Either my coworkers or my friends gather around me and say that they’re sorry, they really thought that if they gave me enough time I’d become a decent worker/friend, but it’s just not working out and they’re tired of pretending that I have any potential, so we’re just going to sever this relationship. They’re always very nice about it, but very firm about the fact that I am simply not up to snuff and I’m never going to be worth investing time into.
The venue varies–parties are common, as are work days where I also have a big project to present after this and before I have to clean out my desk.

Last night I had a dream about work. Which is pretty rude because I have today off and didn’t want to be there. I feel like I should be compensated for that. I did ask my old director o if I could get paid for that, they said no. Again, pretty rude.
Most of my dreams are slice of life kind of dreams. Some with people I know, some with people I’ll meet later (yeah that’s always creepy). I use to keep a dream journal because mine are pretty vivid. I should get back into that.
My brain tends to play out situations that I’m dealing with RL to try and figure out the best course to take. It’s like I get to have a dream simulation of choices and seeing the outcomes of them. Now, mind you, my brain is also crafting the outcome so it’s very much an unreliable narrator.

A couple of days ago I dreamed that I was part of a performance at some kind of arts academy, it was something like the big once-a-year performances those places do. For some reason I was put on the spot and asked to perform a couple of songs before the show started (many of my dreams have a focus on being asked to do something I’m not prepared to do) so I decided to change the lyrics to “Do You Wanna Build a Snowman” to something more thematic, which was nature, and sing that…
Back in the waking world, I was on vacation with my family and thus we were all sharing a room. And that’s how my husband and son got woken up by me shouting “IT DOESN’T HAVE TO BE A SQUIRREL” out of nowhere at 8am.
