The only thing that annoys me about the MSB post about The Pack/Cobalt is the fact they are acting like Cobalt isn’t allowed to feel something is sexual harassment because ‘they don’t feel it is.’ They can totally disagree but her feeling what happened is should not be scorned like they are doing. It is her game, her feelings. She can absolutely ban someone for something she feels is out of her bounds of acceptable. Otherwise, more power to them for doing what they want. They have their place of outlet that is their safe place.

She’s at the top of her post talking about “a good dozen” people telling her all about how awful we’re being, then insisting she has no friends (minions) involved in this.

This is a person who has long-since abdicated accepting any responsibility for her actions. She is never the problem.

Cobalt is just the latest person she’s blaming for her own gross behavior.

That Ghost, Devrex, Derp and the remaining members of the Vocal Majority (lo fucking l) are propping her up? Is the only thing they can do short of admitting they backed the wrong horse.

@KarmaBum Outside of what you guys have said I don’t really know anything about Macha. If I’ve interacted with her in any form I’ve not been aware of it and if I have and she tried to do be bad I likely didn’t even notice. I just stop talking/playing with people I am not comfortable with or I feel like I am bothering them. If I stopped talking to someone the latter is the most likely thing that happened. It is hard to make me uncomfortable.

I’ve already said my thoughts on the others. Except ghost. He just gives me the vibe he likes creating drama while pretending he isn’t out to do just that.

Ooh well. If it makes him happy, good for him (though, it doesn’t seem like it does). It really doesn’t bother me. It just makes me aware he is someone I don’t want to be around because the drama will just annoy me.

I’m more MUSH adjacent than a MUSH player. I mostly like to just be kept apprised of problematic actors that might wander into adjacent places (MUDs, MOOs, etc.), so I don’t really have a lot of stake in any of this. I followed over to BMD because I see value in those aforementioned things, and keeping my finger on the pulse, and didn’t really like the writing on the wall on MSB.

But from a pretty unbiased place (aside from being biased against the draconian nonsense that went down, but whatevs), what it looks like happened is Macha got mad that she got called out, and decided to stir up trouble on the other board (just like she stirred up all the drama over on MSB) to try to obfuscate the situation and discredit you.

Maybe that isn’t what happened, and maybe there IS something else going on, but I’m of the opinion that: if that’s true, it will eventually be outed, because to me it’s MUCH more plausible that a problematic player is obfuscating things than a game dev is obfuscating things to the degree that they would shut down their entire game (and that’s a WHOLE lot of tracks to cover, compared to one problematic player trying to flip the narrative).

Hence all of the mental gymnastics they’re going through to try to justify that major decision.

I mean, maybe the game got possessed by a demon. Maybe the woke mob canceled it. I haven’t seen any proof the woke mob DIDN’T cancel it.

FWIW I got the game back up today. Thank you to Tat and Faraday (who I am not tagging so they don’t have to ride this roller coaster) for helping me figure out how to do that.

But I’m sure that Derp will find a way to frantically backpedal now that he realizes the person he called out is still there. That seems to be what they’re all doing now that Cobalt weighed in - suddenly no one was attacking her!!
