Twelve months! Thirteen gods should mean 13 months!
… but 12 means this bullshit conspiracy-theorist who wears (setting equivalent to tin-foil) hats character idea I came up with is just chef kiss

The real question is do they have leap years and leap centuries?
-
Equipment, I can tolerate the eye-stabbing Ansi colors, but holy shit does the explosion of color make reading your inventory that march harder, when each item does not have it’s own line.
-
@Jennkryst This is why, when I played Augustus, if the items weren’t light and dark grey, I didn’t use 'em. I’m a grumpy old man, I don’t need eye-stabbing ANSI.
-
Use a bookcase for your wardrobe. It then adds each line into a drop down. Downside is that you end up then with a lot of scroll.
If you’ve not already looked into it as a command (so another for your ever growing list)

I actually already found that one, forgot about it, and then found it again!
… I also have outfits on there that I’ve never seen objects for, so I gotta dig through some inventory to find them.

Yeah I only just gutted Tino’s wardrobe to start replacing it with colour matching sets. Mostly because whenever I’d look at the wardrobe on him it would lag my client and I worried it was lagging everyone else’s.
I don’t know if that’s how the internet works or not.

Eye-stabby colors are my jam! Though I do a lot of gray blends too.

Saaaaaaaaaame.

@Whisky The two tailors that I know of in-house are both like ‘we are slow to work on anything, when we can be bothered to remember’, so I’m going to maybe find someone else to update the clothing line.
Edit: Which is not to say that like… RL coming first or sudden lack of creativity is a horrible thing and they are bad people because of. Just a minor peeve.
-
@Jennkryst A lot of crafters work slow. Arxs’s system is set up so people can make their own thing.

Be careful with this one. Expectations for crafting on somebody else’s time has stopped…a LOT of crafters from taking commissions. This sort of thing is actually WHY you see on SO many crafters that they don’t do it at all any more.
-
@Jennkryst - I think I have generic clothing descrips on my home PC which I’d be happy to share when I get back! I used shops to make all of gwenna’s stuff myself and made them because I am lazy and not great at clothing descrips.
-
Replying to myself because I didn’t make any recommendations to go along with the ‘be careful’, so I need to do that.
One, you can make it yourself. (I’ll help explain the code if you need!)
Two, post a thing to the classifieds board asking for a tailor for a big project.
Three, stalk tailor shops (this is usually what I do when I can’t be bothered to make it).

Yeah, that’s totally fair. Just got that ‘new character, must do all the things’ flurry of energy that definitely won’t lead to burnout, nope, totally won’t at all.

Yeah I usually have a website or some blank frameworks for an item of clothing then muck around with details.
I’m not sure if there’s too much useful in there, and it is hardly organised, plus some will be old but…
Like it’s legit a dump of various .txt file documents over the course of a few years. I’ll dump some more in there over the next like 10 mins which you can feel free to adapt.
-
I have to admit, my energy for crafting plummeted when they fixed haggling to not be a money generator. And then I couldn’t just make whatever ridiculous thing I wanted.
I mean, I get why they did it! But man, was being able to make anything in my imagination a better motivator than anything else. Also why I stopped doing commissions, versus any expectations or anything. I just-- really like only making my own ridiculous imagination.
-
@Jennkryst Clothes are fun so I get wanting them, but don’t forget that you never have to be wearing clothing items. You can take everything off and you will be assumed to be wearing normal clothing for your position.

@farfalla And there is also the magic of +tempdesc
