@sao show up in stunna shades

@sao said in A Constructive Arx Thread: Ok totally unrelated thought: how do I make it fashionable to show up to shit in my carriage and four? I MISREAD THIS, CARRY ON

Is it weird that sometimes it’s easier to play my NPCs than my PCs? Helping seed metaplot info or other character info is easier than actively forming character interactions. ETA: Probably as RL has gotten insanely hectic. It’s not that I hate interpersonal interactions but yeah.
-
@Smile Not really. Like, I want to investigate and learn stuff and put the puzzle together… but also like, RP is tricksy and it’s hard to figure out the vibe sometimes.

It’s not that I hate interpersonal interactions but yeah. Oftentimes when my RP energy is low I find that I can handle plot-focused scenes a lot more than casual social scenes, because I have a sort of – goal? Or direct task to do. I feel like your having an easier time with NPCs is probably similar.

@Smile I kinda feel the same way, but with crafting. Ida always feels easier to play because when I can’t people (which it feels like I’ve struggled to do for awhile now, even without softball), I can craft. It makes me still feel useful and like I’m contributing even when my energy isn’t there for rp.

It’s not that I hate interpersonal interactions but yeah. I don’t find this weird at all. For the last few months, most of the RP I’ve done has been GMing scenes for other players as a Player Storyteller. I sometimes find GMing easier than trying to figure out my own character stuff because I know it’ll just be a scene or two rather than a whole series of steps to accomplish a task or where I need to go next for my own stuff. That doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy my characters but sometimes they take more energy than I might have at the moment to figure stuff out.

I got enough clues to get a neat little REVELATION and huzzah, the puzzle is starting to look like an actual image, fancy that. I also learned about @families, when trying to figure out family tree stuff and/or marriages as I attempt to drag in a couple new players. (My efforts didn’t really work, or I am too dumb to have seen it, but it’s fine.) … but also, I would kill for some programming skills to make a basic little searchable thing. I do have an Excel doc with #, Name, Type, but no idea how to lob tags or text into that without making things extra tricksy.

@Jennkryst I have always loved the clue system! It’s so fun to try and piece it all and then get a revelation.

Just read the action result from Malvici a first read over, and that was incredible. Thank you so much staff for the time on that, was such a complete story. Chills from reading it and I’m sure others feeling the same way. Edited gave to read because autocorrect is evil at reminding me how illiterate I am
