Oh heck, the meteors aren’t a joke this time?
In all seriousness; I’ve had some of the most creatively fulfilling times of my life on Arx and met a lot of fantastic people who I hope to be friends with for a long time yet.
I’m really glad I could take the plunge with this as my first MU* experience. I wish I hadn’t been floundering these past few months to the point that I’ve completely lost the plot (HA) but I’m still excited to see where the end of all roads take us.
Looking forward to dipping into the sequel when the day comes, I know a time skip has been chatted about for ages now and seeing it in action has me plenty hyped already.

I have so many positive feels about Norwood’s end. I’m really happy now it wasn’t RPed out, because I’m not sure it could have been done as gracefully as the action result came out.
Norwood was such a big part of my soul that even after I came to admit I didn’t have room to actively RP any more, I couldn’t let him go. I would sign on every few days to check on him.

Hello! Just dropping in to say I had a really fabulous time at the battle scene today. Normally events of that caliber give me a lot of anxiety, but everything about it was well-paced and very easy to keep up with, and I was able to relax into it and just enjoy the rp. Congrats to everyone who participated, and thank you @apos

I had a blast this whole week with the camp RP. Made a lot of great friends. Then yeah the event was great and well run! Super happy about it all.

With the current game about to be brought to a point where staff conclude the current story and withdraw from active staffing, was a rough timeframe given for when the new iteration of Arx might land?
I’ve been spotty and don’t hang out on social platforms outside of the game, so could easily have missed any announcements.

I don’t play on Arx so I’m not sure if anything different has been stated on the game itself but this is from this post on the Arx game ad thread:
Come Feb 1st, requests turn off, and that’ll be it for the current characters canonical story save for one shots I or others might GM to test systems. And then, a bit down the road, Arx relaunches as a very different game, which I am extremely excited about. But just not yet. Time to go all in on a story first.

@moth FWIW, there aren’t gonna be PRPs, because those require staff approval and oversight. I think it’ll be more like “you can finish up your epiloguey social scenes.”

I am so fucking overwhelmed. I wish my RL would just fucking stop with its bullshit for a couple of months so that I could enjoy the final days of the game.
I need to submit the IG battle plan and Sunday/Monday was just a shitshow that Monday I just went to bed. I had to have my MIL tell the children to stop screaming every five minutes because “your aunt is quite literally on the verge of having a stroke you are stressing her out so bad”.
I’m not stressed about Arx, I’m stressed cause I want to enjoy it. I know folks are stressed about the mechanics and I sympathize but I’m all here for it. Win or more likely lose. I want to enjoy it and my fucking children won’t hukuna their tatas for five minutes to give anyone in the house any peace.
I just wanna play pretend sword man and stab girl at the end times. Please.

No real way to know, at present. There are a lot of systems that need design/implementation, which obviously takes time, then at least some testing. There’s also a lot of writing to do, since it’ll at least be a significant time skip, which means new rosters, presumably at least a somewhat different grid, new lore, org changes, etc. At least a chunk of it will depend rather heavily on what happens in the next two weeks as well, with major cities under threat of being wiped off the map and Arx itself facing imminent invasion/destruction.

The Stand at Farhaven was everything and more than I could have hoped for. Reading channels cheering us all on and investing with us on this event. An amazing group of players who threw absolutely all in, and to whom I am super grateful not just for this, but for staying on this crazy northlands road during lots of ebbs and waves. Add in @Apos’s incredible storytelling while somehow GM’g all of us and whatever we were doing…man.
