@Cygnus So would you pull this shit at someone’s kitchen table? Or do you just think that because a game is online that the ‘DMs’ have to play by your rules?
The game is the table of the DM and STs who need to make choices for the table as a whole for the game they are creating and the story they are telling.
So far my experience is that if a character isn’t or won’t work with the story they are telling they’ll help you with a concept that will work offering advice and tweaks to ensure inclusion. In my case that’s exactly what they did with patience and assistance when I admitted my math brain is shit.
I’m sorry your experience was so… well… chaotic. It definitely seems you were getting mixed signals. But seriously step back and reflect a bit on how you’d approach a dm who is taking time and investing into building a game.
