Yes all of it was, unfortunately it was against the power of Zeus.Dropped my PlayStation off at a local repair shop. The store was broken into and it was stolen.

RE: Real Life Struggles/Support/Ventposted in No Escape from Reality
@Ominous I’m not entirely sure but I’d guess maybe 2-3 years? Interestingly not everything plugged into it got fried. The PS5’s innards were destroyed but the TV and everything else hooked into it survived. All of our CO2 alarms went off at once too but I’m pretty sure they’re alright.
I mean either way if I had to bet on a plug or 1.21 gigawatts, the odds are not in our favor.

RE: why is nobody talking about Veilguardposted in Other Games
I kinda just have trouble with the Dragon Age series in general. Played all of them except Veilguard on launch. Origins skyrocketed to my favorite game when it first came out, then Dragon Age 2 was a big shift away from all that. Inquisition was a huge game that made you do a lot of MMO-esque grinding to get to the good stuff.
Just feels like the games have been struggling to get a concrete identity on how they’re played for so long. I want it to be good, it’s a really cool world. I’m just hesitant.

Therapist told me they’re resigning today. Next month I’ll have had my fourth new therapist in 4 years.
It’s not their fault at all. I just can’t help but feel frustrated at having to rebuild trust from square 1 so many times. And on an irrational level, I worry that going through so many doctors means I’m a problem that keeps failing to be resolved.
I’ll be fine eventually. I just don’t feel okay right now.

Victus used to be a paladin in Silver’s guard. His soul was sworn to the Sentinel to fight the Abyss. Had a neat cameo as his past self guarding the hierophants and druids to seal the Gyre originally. That’s about it for secrets that aren’t open, as thralldom and the Nightstar were both pretty obvious.
Daemon was a Cardian spy sworn to Sangular who faked his death and morphed into Modi.
Modi was also a Cardian spy for Sangular. He found an unhatched egg during an expedition to Cardia and carried it around like his own child.

Oh heck, the meteors aren’t a joke this time?
In all seriousness; I’ve had some of the most creatively fulfilling times of my life on Arx and met a lot of fantastic people who I hope to be friends with for a long time yet.
I’m really glad I could take the plunge with this as my first MU* experience. I wish I hadn’t been floundering these past few months to the point that I’ve completely lost the plot (HA) but I’m still excited to see where the end of all roads take us.
Looking forward to dipping into the sequel when the day comes, I know a time skip has been chatted about for ages now and seeing it in action has me plenty hyped already.

RE: A Constructive Arx Threadposted in Game Gab
I’ve really dropped off hard in activity the past few months. It’s mostly just a feeling of… not knowing where to go from here?
Like it occurred to me at one point just how many people I’d met over the course of the game that I had really fond memories playing with, felt like they were really connected to my character’s story, and have since left. There’s so few familiar faces and making new connections is always difficult. It’s sad to think about, but it’s nobody’s fault.
I just lost that sense of logging in and being, like, excited to be around. Since a big stretch of the plot got wrapped up, I also have no idea what to get involved in anymore.
Not a dig at anyone specifically, especially not people who still play and enjoy every day. I think I just got burnt, hit a limit and flared out.

RE: A Constructive Arx Threadposted in Game Gab
I think part of it as well is that people use RP and the like for destressing from life. Which y’know, Arx is a pretty brutal universe in plenty of spots, but it’s also got a whimsical bent for players who are into that. Sometimes you just wanna hop on and chill in the fantasy world for awhile, without worrying about how it’ll effect the amount of time you’ve invested into a character so far.
I guess that’s pretty much the point everyone was making too, so, yeah.

RE: MU* Wishlistsposted in Game Gab
Maybe a bit out there but, the Dishonored universe is so friggin’ cool. It’s got magic, eldritch horrors, steam/dieselpunk technology, and a load of political intrigue.
I’d love to see a game set there sometime. It even has its own TTRPG to copy off of.

RE: POLL: How do you avoid / want to be avoidedposted in Game Gab
There’s been moments where, in being direct to someone about playing with them, I’ve ended up being very rude in the process. It’s difficult for me at times to separate the character from the human, and it can feel overly personal. I like to think I’ve improved on that since I started playing on a big game, but I do look back at my past behavior and just go “eugh”
I still think a direct approach is good, but taking a diplomatic tone to it is even more important, imo. Just to separate the line and let them know that, whatever reason you have, it’s not personal. The vibe is just off, lukewarm, or nonexistent.
Unless it is personal. And then idk, german suplex them or something.
