        @Dreampipe it sounds like something that belongs on What We Do in the Shadows.

        let it be a challenge to you

          Very excited to see this project getting closer to release.

          Back in Arx 1 everybody was pretty much hanging out in the same city most of the time. This time around it sounds like the different starting kingdoms might be more separate from each other and maybe even enemies. With more coded systems present, how much interaction between spheres will there be and how difficult will it be to travel the grid? Can we expect the risk of death and danger from stuff like monsters in the wilderness?

            I thought these were “starting areas” your characters could be from to give them traits and backgrounds in CG, rather than actual separate grid spaces, and the setting was still the city of Arx?

              @Wizz My understanding is that Arx will be the most detailed grid but there will be separate spaces for the other kingdoms.

                @kalakh ahhhh okay, that’s fun.

                I enjoyed how hassle-free it was to create a temporary room in Arx 1 and describe it as being pretty much anywhere, but there is actually something special about having a dedicated grid space. I really do miss describing and furnishing my characters’ rooms. 🥹

                  I actually don’t recall if this got asked (and I have nfc what to look for if the answer exists), but how does it work that <things> got chomped and then the culprit got what happened to them. I mean that in a “does that particular notion have to be refilled by a successor” or is it more “VACANCY: THIS MANY FOLKS” who may or may not have the same “portfolio” so to speak.

                  So that one I won’t get into, as fun as it would be to talk about it. I’m gonna keep to things that would greet people immediately on the way in or be very clear just from reading things that would be mostly common knowledge to characters, and the metaphysics around things like that and the circumstances could be considerably deeper, and in some cases run into some character secrets.

                    Fair! I was mostly curious because of some of your AMA answers that hinted at option a (successors) as well as that doozy about not-David Bowie killing a certain somebody who was put in timeout in Eurus.

                        Though, I am remiss in not pointing out that he is considered a fantastic lover even though he has no genitals.
