+9-12 on a roll with Advantage. Those poor chests stand no chance against Vampdaddy.

There are a few traps I’ve run into with a difficulty of 30, but otherwise… yes.

Getting the Monk engine to work has been satisfying.

@Testament - Yeah those sounds like the first ones that might be challenging, else Asterion does make exploring a little easy mode when given some specialist gear.

Convinced my bioDad to buy the game and this man goes to bed at 9:30 pm only calls me on the weekends and he calls me

on this past Monday

at 9:38 pm

leaves a voicemail saying ‘I have questions about Baldur’s Gate’.

So I call him the next morning:

“I CAN’T JUSTIFY KILLING PALADINS FOR A CHATTY TALL ONE-HORNED DEMON CHICK THAT’S ON FIRE.”

Well that’s fine, Dad, more for me. And also you’re missing out.

He’s having a hard time with figuring out what the ‘right’ answers are for his character and I told him he has to let go of that. It’s not supposed to be obvious, buddy.

He’s enjoying himself. It’s a deep, story-driven, complicated game and I love how wildly varying so many of the playthrough stories appear to be.

It may be helpful to remind him that Paladins in 5e aren’t good, they’re idealogues.

Apparently there’s a mod to give Gale magic exploding underpants, and I find this way funnier than I should.

Also F10 = hides the UI and getting screenshots during close-up scenes is so good.

@Duke-Whisky first of all, you look great in that hat.

second of all, I just learned right now that cats keying f10 is what turned off the UI when I was mid fights and i restarted the game to get the UI back multiple times for no reason.

I just defeated an optional boss with its own theme song, and holy hell. That was a hard fight. And also the song is fantastic.

You know you’re in for a bad time when after the first round of combat, you’re so flabbergasted by the damage output that you stare intently at your scrolls for like 10 minutes.

Going tiefling was the best decision I ever made. Shadowheart is best girl. Le’zen or whatever her name is worst girl. #sorrynotsorry
