    • RE: MU Peeves Thread

More a self-peeve than a MU-peeve, but when you take a long break from the MU* world because life gets busy and you really want to come back but you sit and wonder how you ever had time for the MU* world at all before. It is amazing how when you set aside one thing, twelve other things take its place.

All this to say - I miss RPing and this community. The end.

    • RE: What's your tell?

Resurrecting an old thread because I am plagued by someone telling me once that they knew a character was me because I posed about thighs. I had forgotten about it, but now that I’m getting back into RP I think about it every single time I pose and wonder if I have a thigh fetish.

    • RE: Good things in Mushing

I’ve been very lucky in this hobby to find someone who is always a ‘yes’ to my crazy ideas, whether they are in personal RP or as a GM. Last night highlighted this when I asked her to play a mole person, and she immediately jumped in.

So yeah, more generally: finding people in this hobby who are always excited about writing.

Having people reach out to make background connections, and then seeing those background connections actually build and grow through the RP into story. I love it. 10/10 would recommend.

    • RE: When to Include Other Characters' Background

One of my favorite moments in GMing was when a character rolled particularly well and @tsar peeked at their background/secret and was like, “We should do this!” and then I wrote it into existence, and it became a wonderful moment of story for the player and then a hilarious running joke that we probably milked for far too long.

Long story short: I think it makes those backgrounds real, living stories and I say do it. I had the advantage of being a staff GM, so I didn’t have to page and ask, but I think if I received that page as a player I’d be so excited someone read my background and wants to make something of it!

@KarmaBum I KNOW. But I think about it still to this day, while I tap my thigh thoughtfully.

@devu @dvoraen they’re just the NPCs we did for a plot scene. No actual playable mole people here. Sorry!
