So, effectively, you’re saying you got a random Discord message from an unknown source that was supposedly antisemitic. Despite trying to imply that a link between that event and an admin message informing you that you’ve been banned, no such link actually exists. And your attempt to create such an implied link is, if we are to believe you, completely accidental?
Is that accurate?
-
@Wikibara you do not know that they are connected, and yet brought them up as if they were connected? It’s not a casual accusation to make.
-
That seems like broken logic to me.
- ) Player A gets banned from Game Z.
- ) Random Discord User #1 sends Player A a racist message.
- ) Random Discord User #1 must therefore be sent by Game Z or somehow related to Game Z.
This is similar in logical function to:
- ) Bob is dishonest about his job application at Company A and fails to get the job.
- ) Random Jerk on the Street #1 tells Bob to get a life in front of McDonalds.
- ) Random Jerk on the Street #1 must therefore be sent by Company A or somehow related to Company A.
ALSO: Who in 2026 lets randos send them PMs on Discord?
-
I guess that makes sense. Everything, literally everything, is causal after all.
Personally, I can’t believe I’m getting these staff members sending me really raunchy porn on Discord from unaffiliated accounts after checking out the websites of those Age of Heroes games.

The message came in from Discord. I don’t know to what extent, if at all, they’re connected to the game. The message’s content, beyond being pretty unpleasant, wasn’t specific enough. I just blocked and moved on with my day. I’ve no plans to dox anyone involved, though - that’s against house policy.you clearly didn’t move on with your day. you brought up the message in your complaint post here. no one here is establishing or inventing a link between the admin message and bigoted junk, besides you in your original post by referencing them together.
that’s weird.
-
Apparently nothing is coincidental, so the reason he didn’t move on with his day is because through some chain of logic the staff are out to get him so much that he felt the need to warn everyone about their secret racist harassment police
Damn bro, you should have gone with this for your fuckin mage app
-
Clearly, I’ve found the apologists - perhaps it’s required that I share the specific message that I received, because there’s otherwise no cause for any person to receive antisemetic messages, ever.
That world feels so much safer than this one, so let’s focus.
The two events, taking place in the same span of fifteen minutes, might not be tied - given that I was removed from the server, I can’t determine if I shared any server with the aforementioned message. That helpful link is gone, so I moved on with my day - and went to bed. When I wake up, due to how I parsed the explanation, now I’m accusing a game admin of being antisemetic; I have no earthly clue if they are or aren’t, nor am I focused on it. My issue was in the lack of assistance, although if I found out later that they did harbor that specific strata of sentiment, then I would be taking issue with it.
It’s also notable that the issue I raised with the first post, of the absence of help being available, has been glossed over by a slew of apologists on behalf of the admins for the game. Clearly, there’s some strong biases at play, and finding fault with the admin is not a key choice to make: one must simply believe in the better angels for all people, at all times, forever.
I pointed out that they dropped the ball on not having any active support and discarding requests for actual assistance; the community is most definitely engineered away from the solutions of complaints and much toward the celebration of them.
One sentence is parsed funny, there’s a conspiracy at play, apparently; I bring up an actual issue, there’s crickets. Making a benchmark for my later reference about receiving a rather unpleasant screed from someone was clearly not a wise choice - once I block someone, I couldn’t even begin to guess when and where the topics of whatever message is involved. Maybe that’s on me for not documenting it better? Who knows.
What’s certain is: complaining about a process definitely doesn’t get a solution, not when there’s a reason to flense the slowest in the herd.
-
@Wikibara Let’s return to the issue then. It sounds like you weren’t writing in a way that jives with the Staff there in the way that they’d prefer, so they showed you the door. I’m sorry it didn’t work out for you, but at the same time, if they had approved you, it sounds like they’re just trying to avoid headaches all around and you’re slightly upset by it.
ALSO, please for the love of god turn on your PM privacy on Discord, you’re just asking to get hacked or have more random racist nonsense sent to you.

Edit: Clearly you could not possibly have done anything to cause them to give you a cold shoulder, and since we don’t have those PMs / the logs from the game, we have to just trust that you were 100% in the right in this situation.
-
@MisterBoring
I’ll make a note about the PM privacy setting; as I run a few places for creative folks, I keep mine open and accessible, although it’s possible that the risks may outstrip the rewards. After seeing how the admin handled repeated requests for assistance, I’d think that both parties dodged a bullet. -
@Wikibara Dude… you just don’t like their process. You were told at least 4 times, to talk with Inky about your Changeling app. You keep asking the same question and getting the same answer?
Also… I’m not sure how much effort you were actually putting into the applications when you talked on Mage channel about only taking an hour to write all your Mage notes? Mage is a notoriously note intensive sphere on any game…
<Mage> Martin submits the notes, whews.
<Mage> Martin says, “It took almost a full hour exactly to do all three notes.” -
@gremlinsarevil
That was for my Mage, and the notes were for: Resources, Enemy, Haunted.Those aren’t exactly the heavy lifting of note-writing. Should I have been taken up a slower writing process, as to accommodate the others who need much, much more time than me? That definitely would have helped with the application process.
Also of note: all three of those notes got approved.
What point did you want to drive home?
-
<Mage> Martin has seven notes now.
<Mage> Martin says, “First four were done before I logged out the second time. Maybe an hour’s work on those total.”So maybe two hours total on the Mage? Where you’re supposed to be creating a whole philosophy and rules system for yourself with your Avatar and Focus? I’d be shocked if anybody could write a decent, complete Mage app in two hours.
I can’t really speak about Changeling as I don’t play changeling.

This is an intentionally misleading and straight up harmful tack to take. Real antisemitic and racist rhetoric happens in spaces that causes people to be unsafe. Conflating what may actually be coincidental as an accusation creates a smokescreen that can cause significant harm to marginalized people.
I am not being “an apologist” if I prefer that you do not suggest that you received antisemitic hate messages from a group of people with limited authority without any real proof of it outside of, what, coincidence?
Using another example, if I alleged that a staff member was homophobic against me in the same breath that I was talking about having my application denied because I happened to get a random homophobic message – which does happen – how does that do more than just create further confusion and reduce any other LGBT person’s sense of safety in that space?
I understand wanting to complain about your app, that’s whatever you want it to be. If I were dick riding about saying that their app process was 100% fair or whatever, I could understand saying that I’m “an apologist” and would completely agree, honestly. It’s the accusation of abusive wrong-doing with real world harm and consequences that deserves to have some modicum of proof that does it for me.
-
I had seven notes. One of them, the background, was still being processed.
The paradigm and practices were also approved.
Those both took me about forty-five minutes to handle total.
So, again: what point did you feel that you were trying to make? -
@Wikibara My point wasn’t for you.
-
@somasatori
Again, I didn’t allege that the staffer was responsible for the antisemetic message; the two events took place at the same approximate time, and I made a note of it for my later recall - against all reasonable choices, I don’t file the messages away for reference purposes. If someone draws an inference, that’s their choice, not my intention. Could I have excluded it from the post? Sure. Are they connected? Probably not, no. Did they take place at about the same time? Yes, they did. Is that uncomfortable to keep bringing up, because it’s so very much fun to keep doing so, over and over and over and over again? No, weirdly enough, because I don’t give them a lot of my time, except for today, wherein I have to defend receiving a message and it being timed funny as part of some sort of weird smokescreen. -
Bullshit.
You intended to imply that it was. That was why you nebulously linked the two events, to create an implied correlation, in the hopes no one would actually question your motivations for doing so.
I question your motivations for doing so.
Let me be blunt: I watched you complain for days, watched you try to cajole other players into doing your app for you, watched you whine about how you’ve never had these kinds of problems before, and watched you try to get away with a level of effort so low as to be laughable in the process of your Mage application. I can’t really speak to your Changeling app. All of /THIS/ is based solely on the comments /YOU/ made in public on channels. I can’t even imagine what you said behind the scenes.
When you were finally banned - and the reason for the ban is crystal clear, it was posted for all to see - your next step was to come here and blatantly lie about antisemitic comments being made by the staff of the game that just banned. you. And make no mistake: you lied. We all saw it. Trying to weasel out of it by saying your implications were not intended to create the perception that antisemitic comments were made by the staff of the game as they banned you is, as I said above, bullshit.
You got called on your bullshit. I suggest you just move on with your life. There is no one on this forum who isn’t jaded enough to see right through your unmitigated bullshit.
-
@Artifact
I logged in every day, checked my app, shrugged and moved on after making mention of the process. Asking for help is not “doing [my] app for me.” You can feel free to invent whatever conspiracy make up for choosing to be unhelpful to a new player - which, I’ll note, you absolutely were, because the only person who actually helped was one of the admins.You saw someone asking for help and your first thought was, “I can’t help them, it would ruin my aesthetic!”
The “comments” that I made were about needing help. I’d been using the CtD material for a very, very long time, and trying to match “vibes” is certainly a challenge, and combining that with an absence of assistance makes it a lot tougher. Asking on the Discord for help with writing the application - not, notably, having another person write it, just assistance in it - is what got me banned, as best that I can tell.
As for my “next step,” it was feeding cats and took out my trash. A short while later, I went to bed; in your worldview, I waited for the chance to login here and immediately describe the goings-on in the worst-possible light. Weirdly, not the case. You make the villain whomever that you need, so long as you remain the heroic and indifferent witness to all things.
When someone asked for help, you showed exactly whom you are, though.
-

Yeah – a guy who minded his own business until you started calling random people antisemites when you got banned.
-

Circling back to this, right here, this is the problem. Because you could have just posted a screenshot and people could have immediately seen whether or not the comments came from anyone affiliated with the game.
