Choosing to side with the goblins felt so terribly icky. Hoping Patch 3 restores the buggy Minthara content properly. Reluctant to hop into Act 2/3 without that squared away.
Also, be still my heart, a No Romance Limit (Poly) mod.

I’m finding it’s easier to get along with Astarion as this chaotic bundle of darkness.
There’s actually a reason for this! I can’t find the source right now, but I’ll add it when I find it, BUT the person responsible for much of the Dark Urge content also wrote a fair bit for Astarion (especially during the crunch period), thus there was more opportunity for them to write for the duo - more was planned for the other companions, but time constraints prevented it.

Perma-killed two party members. Would do again.
Unless your name is Shadowheart, you’re not safe.

It’s a Larian game so I wouldn’t be entirely surprised if there’s a massive revamp of content (particularly in Act 3) over the next year or so.

Does anyone else have party changing anxiety, lol?
I have a hard time laying down the OGs. I had to make the transition from Lae’zel to Karlach and even that was hard.
I run Dark P, Karlach, Shadowheart, and Gale (even though I would much rather have Astarion I enjoy wizard spells).
I don’t think I’ll change my lineup the rest of the game.

BRING THEM ALL. I’ve been enjoying it. I’m hearing banter I missed on my first.

I just keep respeccing my main cause I have fun with X class with a 1 level dip into Y but then want to see what Z + Y is like. or X + Z. Or just W.

Oh god, they buffed that optional Act III boss fight.
Raphael, and extra buffed him on Tactician. NO MORE DEALS, IT’S OVER. -

The only Level 16 boss fight. Which is going to be rough because while I have started a Tactician playthrough, I am not looking forward to that. Or I am, depending on how well I play.

Watched that live yesterday. It was great.

Less anxiety and more I end up not really needing them either as I’m not smart enough to manage their resources (Gale) or they fit a purpose I need (Halsin/Wyll).
Or I just end up perma-killing them. That also helps to limit my options.

I got 2/3rds through the game (I was in act 3) when the patch came out and I realized I was pretty irritated at my Tav, so I restarted as a Dark Urge Assassin Monk and oh fuck oh boy I am having such a good time and I’ve only just started (about 10ish hours in). Also a few moments of “WHAT THE FUCK” already. God damn what a good game.

I’m stuck in act three?? Maybe act 2. Idk. I have to make a choice. And the choice I’m leaning toward will piss off everyone in my party, but feels like it would cause the least amount of loss of life for the sword coast.
I wanna do the pure right thing and murderhobo everyone evil, but I feel like I’ll end up getting a lot of innocents hurt if I don’t take this alliance.
Also it’ll upset Karlach

Pretty sure I know what choice you’re talking about. I got the same one yesterday and then the OTHER PERSON showed up and made me the opposite offer, but with more threads of bodily harm. Huzzah!

Had the Galeplosion ending. Honestly it’s pretty dark and I loved it.

Did you watch the Shadowheart and Lae’zel one? It’s amazing.

I’ve come to the conclusion that I don’t like how Larian has handled Minthara. The developers did admit to the character basically being a ‘cutting room floor’ situation, where a lot of her content was left not implemented in the game.
What’s equally frustrating is that she is potentially one of the best written characters, that a majority of people don’t get to see because A, most people don’t or won’t do evil runs. And B, if you do do an evil run, there’s just too much lost and not enough gained, regardless of how well written a companion is. And C, because so much of her content wasn’t implemented, even after a patch fix to add more for her.
I also don’t like how it feels like Halsin was never really meant to be a companion, but more like a secondary camp member akin to how Volo was? Considering that you wind up getting two Druids in Halsin and Jaheria, I didn’t see a need for two. And speaking as a someone who played the first two games, I’m going to take the character that I really enjoyed previously(although, the lack of Jaheria content is something else I have a gripe with).
I’m all for actions having consequences, but it sure does feel like, at times, the game punishes you for wanting to do an evil playthrough.
Also, Minthara and Astarion competing for for the ultimate “I can fix them” challenge.
