@bear_necessities So sorry, did NOT mean to derail, genuinely wanted to hear people summarize the core theme of the books they’re passionate about. I don’t mind if anyone wants this spun off into rough and rowdy, although I may feel a little sick being at the top of any rough and rowdy thread.

@helvetica I always thought a theme with some dragon on dragon fighting would be interesting in Pern.
I had a whole game concept based around that once, but since I lack follow through-- It’s cool to see someone else doing it too.

Was that the matrilineal thing? I remember that concept and still think it would be really cool.

@helvetica Yeah, I threw in matrilineal things. Because it never made sense to me that basically Gold dragons are this pretty important part of dragon society, where everyone traces the lineage of dragons through golds, but then like, Holders inherit through male lines and stuff?
Idk, it was a while ago. But also my big bad was a golddragon rider who basically took over most of society and subjugated the holders, so.

maybe it will encourage me to do my school work while RPing instead of playing video games. I can pretend I am a teen again, back in college (because I am back in college classes).Roleplay on roleplay.
