Like, if you’re gonna call somebody out, make sure you’re calling out the right person. Jesus. Like, the only ‘sexually aggressive’ PG on HAM was the one who literally had the bit for 45 minutes before she got yoinked into a staff room and banned. Because she was ‘a sex pest’. Or because she had the quote-unquote gall to post that she’d have a different take on a character squatted on by Chaucer’s useless friend for literal years.
Don’t forget we moved!

In b4 @Prototart is banned from their… I’m going to say at least 4th comic game out of those I know.
I’ve only been banned from 2 i can think of and one of those was the same people who banned me from the other one for outing the predator they’re friends with but like it’s v possible i am banned in absentia from games I’ve never heard of

Which MUSH banned trans characters???
No More Heroes/Yet Another Fucking Comic MUSH made a huge post about how it is integral to maintain an fc’s canon sexuality and gender and gave stern talking tos to the couple of people who were playing characters as trans and apparently unapproved one of them, who is actually played by a woman who’s trans, until she scrubbed all mention of it
-
@Prototart I was on another where a power-gaming, OOCly sexually inappropriate Power Girl was banned, apologies if it wasn’t you that time. Maybe she attracts the type!
But let’s at least be real: it wasn’t the same people who banned you round two on HAM. You weren’t pre-banned, you were allowed to play on the game, you were playing there just fine and engaged in RP, but you did all the same shit you always do, being sexually inappropriate in the OOC room constantly talking about your huge tits and OOC-playing at people, while also complaining that your god like characters weren’t even more godlike (iirc you were mad they only let you play Knockout as a Kirby-esque space god and not a Morrison-esque universal embodiment of whatever who could auto-win against everyone).
Reminder: I’m literally someone who quit UH in the big exodus, so I don’t not see your side, but can you own up to some of this behavior as maybe being part of the cause of how you’re frequently treated? Maybe don’t do weird flirty shit in OOC if its not invited, maybe don’t constantly talk about how your character can beat up everyone else’s characters, etc?

dude what the fuck are you talking about
eta: I’ve never played Power Girl anywhere, and when I was knockout I played the goofy Superboy version, went full Kirby with shit like New Genesis being the size of a galaxy and boom tubes compressing you so you’re human sized, and did a scene where i stole the disco boots of the gods
somebody played her before me and for all i know after me, i have literally no idea what you’re on about
-
@bored I think you have her confused with someone else. Tart doesn’t do that shit, she’s just a bitch and puts up with no shit.! (I say this lovingly)
-
@bored You’re crossing streams or something, because I can pretty safely say that Tart’s biggest ooc room crime is posting lots of panels of her characters. Unless ig she ONLY behaves this way when I am not in her presence, which is possible? But feels unlikely?
Let’s be clear: She was banned from HAM because she sent a complaint about Chaucer.
Why did she send a complaint about Chaucer? Because he enthusiastically approved her pitch for Miss Sinister, saw a sheet that placed her at ‘pretty powerful; limited by extreme inexperience and not actually being Essex’ on a game where Jean Grey is fully integrated with the Phoenix, Kryptonians abound, and Selene is freely avail, then promptly denied the app and told her thar she was not sufficiently worth his/the game’s time to warrant going to the trouble of revising.
Oh, and prior to that, he refused to let her pick up Titania because he felt that she should branch out from what he felt her norms were.
So she complained, left when nothing was done, came back months later to try again with friends, and then was banned upon picking up a character (played by one of Chaucer’s friends in the sense that a dog plays with the drool-saturated, shredded and discarded doll it remembers it left behind the couch once a month or so, and on the idle list as a result) due to her past disagreements with him.
As for the thing about trans characters, that had nothing to do with her. I wanted to play Wonder Woman as (probably??) trans on a game where the central premise is that it is a sex positive environment to the extent of it being a free for all of posting ts logs to the wiki, and canon is otherwise extremely loose and improvisational. I was told that a ruling had been made that characters would need to be adapted according to their canonical gender/bio sex traits; I am going to change it at some point today when I get to a keyboard. She posted it bc I vented to her about the situation and she had Feelings about it.

From the other thread I get that you’re a squad and I have no interest in litigating shit on those games I had no part in, but the ageless grudge vibe is strong here. She wasn’t banned on UH strictly because they disliked her, people complained about the behavior. She wasn’t banned on HAM strictly because Chaucer didn’t like her, people complained about the behavior. She power-gamed on Maxima and Knockout. She was sexually aggressive in the OOC room, to me and to other people I know. I’m not confused about those games, regardless of whether she’s that other Power Girl too. She’s a player I think many games would pre-ban if they thought about it (as she seems to realize is a possibility).
Coming here and going ‘lol this game hates trans people’ (where I think you’d find most of the players have the opposite opinion) is the same kind of inflammatory behavior that gets her banned everywhere. The game doesn’t hate trans people. The game said no to ‘Porno Futanari Power Girl,’ I think in part because (and I say this admitting my own ignorance as boring cis guy) my understanding is that some trans people consider the dickgirl/futa stuff offensive. I’m sure staff there would be happy to discuss their reasoning in appropriate forums, but framing it the way she’s chosen to is clearly an attempt to get the mob on her side.

I didn’t play Maxima, shithead, and I definitely didn’t flirt with you.
And not counting like a day on B&B, I am not and have never been Power Girl anywhere at all ever. I don’t play on this game! Nobody told me ‘no’ to anything! A friend of mine was hurt by something and I thought it was bullshit and I posted about it.

I dunno, man, you seem pretty invested in uncritically taking serial liars who you don’t know, at their word about a situation you weren’t involved in, involving someone else who you also don’t know, for being uninterested in litigating shit you had no part of.
-
@renaveleigh I played Thor on UH. I dunno if the logs exist or whatever, but I quit with the giant pile of other people who did, over both the Illyana and Jean stuff.
All the same, I remember how Illyana acted. I remember how Knockout acted. If the Power Girl stuff is wrong, my bad, but again, the player has a pretty consistent MO for both how and what kind of characters she plays, and getting banned multiple times in a genre of game where you pretty much have to go out of your way to get banned.
And no, @Prototart I know you’re big not into dudes or whatever, but the OOC stuff can still be uncomfortable for people even if you’re not attracted to them. You did it, and the power gaming stuff on UH (you’re not suddenly not-Illyana now, right?). You did it on Knockout. If I made a comic game, you’d be pre-banned there for sure as you seem like all drama for no benefit, every place you are (same as Vorpal and Chaucer, for what that’s worth).
Whichever one of you is PG I’m sure will end up getting them tossed off this place too.

-
you are fucking delusional
-
@Prototart I’ve never been banned from a game where people play characters who wear their underwear outside their clothes, though.
-
@bored That isn’t the insult/flex that you think it is

Re: Canon Sexuality thing has extremely valid reasoning: it’s not actually limiting their canon sexuality at all. Well… kind of.
For characters traditionally strait or ambiguous, do whatever. But if you are playing a character that part of their story is that they are full on Gay or Lesbian (Your Jonathan Kents, Bobby Drakes, Katherine Kanes, Karolina Deans) they would rather somebody not show up and go ‘I love the aesthetic but no homo, so the Kryptonian who is famously gay decided it was just a phase and now only bangs the cute girls’ or whatever.
Re: Biological whatsits has the same reasoning, but I agree that I think they went too far with it. It’s not erasing trans experiences or voices by adding more options any more than someone picking up a canonically strait character and playing them as super gay does.
I think it’s a case of they don’t want to come across as insensitive and botched the landing; because you can still run around and do all the Futa scenes you want, nobody is stopping you, just ‘it was a spell/someone transformed you temporarily’ (this is a clarification on the forum post announcing the policy update, not in the policy itself).
At least they announced this change. They added lactation under the ‘no preggos’ umbrella, which kind of fair but also weird.
HONESTLY the biggest warning flag is the ‘if you have an issue do not complain on channel, talk to us in private’ thing. Not that I’ve had issues with anyone, but every time I get a ping from staff on any game with that kind of policy, I get a ‘oh god what rule did I accidentally break that they are about to ban me for?’ reaction.
So that’s nice.
-
Ban drama aside, taking a stance that they don’t want players retconning what an established character was assigned at birth isn’t exactly “banning trans characters”.
I might’ve missed something but I didn’t see a rule that you’d get banned if you complained to anyone who isn’t staff, either.

hello guys, it’s been a while. i don’t rp, but i would like some logs and some hard evidence?? Too many soft accusations flying around and i don’t like soft things but i do love judging for myself, about this hobby i don’t participate in anymore.

I honestly don’t see the problem with this kind of thing. Like, it kinda sucks to erase queer characters, but in the first place, that’s not happening in canon; it’s happening on a TS game with a worryingly predatory set of rules. In the second place, sexuality and gender identity are messy as hell, not to mention fluid, and people go through exploratory phases and/or mislabel themselves all the time. “Woman who thought she was bi for way too long before figuring out she’s purely gay” happens so often I’m pretty sure there’s a section for them on the greeting card rack at Hallmark!
I just don’t feel like the thing being protected is worth protecting.
