Ascension Sojourns is a generational World of Darkness 20th Anniversary game that has been updated to include an earth grid of Freistatt, Minnesota (encompasses the area of the twin cities and suburbs) .

Minnesota has become an island sanctuary state over the years, and especially when the states closed their borders with the growing political climate. Various “underground railroad” groups have formed over the years. However now they help refugees from other states seeking to have personal and medical freedom they might be persecuted in their state for. SURF-MN was established to help refugees from room(often in the form of couch surfing) , board and access to services.

While at one point Minnesota struggled, as all states did, with supplying food and resources to the population, they have survived better than most thanks to some trade agreements. “Victory Gardens” have made a come back as communities pull together to support themselves and the influx of refugees.

However, despite the seeming rosey nature of life in MN, while states and people quarrel, and eyes are diverted, something dark is seeping into the current. Various scars are just starting to be noticed on the earth and in the umbra, but what they mean is yet unsolved.

The horizon realm grid is currently closed for new players, as that timeline runs on a accelerated time scale.

Mage and Shifters now automatically start play at Arete/Rank 3. You can choose to start lower, just contact staff to have it lowered.

We have opened the shifter sphere for play. There are currently 9 shifter slots open to fill two packs; 4 slots in Sacred Hunt Pack, second pack yet unnamed. Unlimited kinfolk slots. There is currently a preference for homid garou.

Limited Bygone and Demon slots are open.
Unlimited Mortal and Mortal+ slots are open.
Mage Traditions (any except Hermetics)

We are now offering Starting XP that can be spent immediately after approval in the XP room. The amount of starting xp is based on the character concepts most desired. Very specific concepts listed in the Recruitment Announcements on Discord receive max starting xp (50 xp) regardless of the general guidelines on the wiki. Additional xp may be given for well-written backgrounds and concepts.
