    • RE: Star Wars Age of Alliances: Hadrix and Cujo

I remember it being worse for anyone that didn’t have a ship as they’d have to navigate the game’s byzantine transport network.

If you were lucky the planet you were one had a direct route to the event location. If not, you’d have to got to an intermediary location and hope there was a direct route from there. If you were really unlucky you’d have to make several stops to get to the event, sacrificing time and in-game cash to get there. It was comon to see people asking how to get from one location from another in the public chat.

Eventually people with ships would ask on on the main public ooc channel if anyone needed a lift to the event location.

Speaking of the grid, there were relics of the old grid (from before the timejump that happened when TFA started) that never got removed in the timejump. The apartment I used was still there with the same password. The shop a friend made was still there with the same name. Descs weren’t changed. Part of me wonders if there’re still there in the same unchanged stated. Other locations I used to go to were still there, unchanged.

New Changes and New Staff Jan 13 2025 Maelstrom

It is the start of a new year and what better time to look forward to what is ahead? We’ve got a lot of ideas stirring for the game’s over-arching story as well as smaller, contained plots to be sprinkled over the next twelve months. There will be more updates made to the wiki, help files, and planets. As well as positive changes to some of our rule sets and potential +event rewards.

Further, we will be steering away from conflict avoidance and towards conflict mediation. In that vein, please allow me the privilege of introducing some new members to our team.

Leviathan and Heureux are long-time players of the game and even longer members of the MUSHing community. Their roles are to aide you to having the best possible experience here. This includes questions about the game’s systems and mediation with other players and staff. If you have concerns or grievances, I encourage you to seek a resolution rather than letting it fester on the back channels.

Also, please welcome our two new roleplay admins Lovecraft and Conquest! Their role is to help facilitate stories on the grid, be it helping a player run a personal plot or hosting planet-centric storylines. They can also answer questions regarding ideas and character concepts.

We want to thank everyone who has put their time and effort into this game. Whether you’ve been here for years, newly arrived, or are returning from time away, you’ve all contributed to the legacy that is Age of Alliances. Staff are making a concentrated effort to make this the best environment for story-telling.

That right, Cujo doesn’t want you complaining somewhere else that might make his game look bad, no! Instead, go tell some new staffers instead!

How has it taken THIS LONG for him to get staff to deal with this kind of thing? Still, I doubt it’ll change things, as it gives him a scapegoat for things not getting better. "It wasn’t ME that dealt with it, it was THEM! I can’t deal with things I never hear about!

One thing that confuses me about this game (in addition to the red flags above) is that the ad says it’s D20, but the game itself says it uses D6.

What do YOU want? Nov 21 2024 Cujo

Are there any major events you have dreamt of having happen in the galaxy? I am curious to know what, where, and how you think they would go down. What would you like to see happen to the galactic map? What would you like to see happen to the Rebellion? What would you like to see happen to the Sith Empire? What major events, of any ilk, have you thought the game needed to have happen, but you thought the Staff would never go for it?

Send me an @mail, and let me know. I might actually go for it.

One of the things I’ve noticed, when I overhear other people talking about this game, is that it can be challenging to alter the grid, or make impactful changes to the galaxy, and I want people to know that is not my intention with the place. Not at all. I want everyone to effect it as much as they desire, but it has to make IC sense within the believability of our setting, and the rules of the Star Wars galaxy.

But if you have an idea for something? Let me know in an @mail. Idealy, I’d like it to be events that you, or someone would GM. But really, I just want to hear what you guys want to do, but you think the Staff would never go for.

Because we just might actually go for it.

It “might” happen, they “might” go for it. Plus heaven forbid they run the events people want to see happen! Nope! In the unlikely event it gets rubber stamped, you have to do the heavy lifting yourself to change the grid!
