    • RE: Star Wars Age of Alliances: Hadrix and Cujo

And icing to the cake, Cujo finally speaks on game.

      **Hello all.

Recently the game added staffers, and a month or so later removed staffers. We were preparing for the time jump, and decided to take a chance on a group of new staff members. The ones who were the most active were kept, the others we took out of the staff roster. Two of them wanted someone banned from the game who they believed was a sexual harasser. The evidence had been given to us some time ago, some of it was witnessed in-person by myself.

I decided the evidence was not enough to have someone banned. They were deemed to be ill-timed jokes, at worst. The person was asked not to make those kinds of jokes again.

Yes, this person was added to staff as part of the group that was brought in to help. The situations that were used as evidence happened over a year ago. It was two claims of evidence. One was from 2018, the other from last year. The jokes were dealt with by talking to the player.

Hadrix / Rev was that player. I believe he’s taken to heart the after-math of those moments here. I believe he gets himself overly excited, and is capable of acting out. I believe just about everyone is capable of that, some worse than others.

Hadrix is on Staff now, yes, and like everyone else on Staff, if he behaves poorly he can, and will, get removed. The fact is that I need help, and I bring on people that I think will help me do work behind the scenes. This game requires a ton of behind the scenes management of ships, weapons, armor, clothing, planets, star systems, the galaxy, and everything inside it.

Not everyone would work out on Staff, some just wouldn’t be able to figure out the issues, others might be overwhelmed by it. Most of you just wouldn’t want to do it, because it isn’t fun. Being on Staff is not a promotion, if anything it’s additional workload x10 what you might expect.

But at the end of the day, yes, Hadrix was accused of sexually slanted harassment. The evidence that was given to Staff, both pieces of it, were reviewed, and he was asked to improve his behavior. It’s been over a year now, and overall, I personally feel that he has improved his behavior. It doesn’t mean he is impervious against punishment, or a ban. A ban is possible for him, for everyone if they become an active burden upon the playerbase, and the game’s health. I don’t feel Hadrix is either of those things right now though, and in fact he has been helping me a ton with the pre-Time Jump workload. This is why he was retained on Staff as one of the top 3 active newcomers.

All sexual harassment claims are taken seriously though, and if deemed valid, and actively a serious burden, then expect that player to get banned. We have had about 3 major cases of this in the past 8 years, and those 3 cases were dealt with swiftly once the proper evidence was ruled upon.

The game’s goal right now is to focus on the Time Jump in to the future, and that’s what we ultimately hope to keep the game’s direction entirely aimed toward.

@64bitjedi So Cujo and Zephyr looked into it, and Cujo decided it wasn’t worth his trouble and fired Zephyr rather than address the problem. That tracks.

@64bitjedi Cujo should come and do his talking himself instead of nuking people’s alts, placing their mains in the Old Guard Lounge, and presenting it to the game publicly as if it were common practice to cull people’s characters if they “retire from the game” which is honestly quite a way to describe what happened here. Not to mention calling down another longtime player for pointing out what he did publicly and saying that if they really cared they would say something privately rather than in public. Because obviously addressing this situation privately has worked out for everyone involved so far.

@64bitjedi Of the staff on AoA, three people are the ones that brought forth the evidence regarding the abuse I believe. That leaves Cujo, Banshee, Yeti, Hadrix-the accused, and what? One other staffer? If you excused yourself from the investigation, which staffers were tasked with looking into the abuse complaints?
