    • RE: Macha Awareness (And Unappreciation) thread

@Cobalt You have some pretty clear support here, by not just your friends but the community. So let me have you answer some questions to yourself.

      • Will going over there to try to refute anything actually gain you anything?
      • Are you giving in to what Macha wants more than yourself?
      • Do you have anything to gain by answering their questions?
      • If you did go there to answer things - why are you doing it?

Macha & the MatchaFriends will try to bait you (that’s been pretty obvious, if laughable). They will try to talk in technicalities - You banned me but X person was doing this and I feel was worse, why didn’t you ban them too, or first, or give them a second chance? Blah blah. You made your judgement call. You have the support of our community here. I can’t speak for anyone else, but I support you. Many have come out to support you. You helped to out a problem player, and lots of people have stood up and said ‘I had a problem with this person too!’.

You dont have to refute anything. You dont have to say boo to them. If you want to - sure. But dont feel you ever have to. You made a judgement call, and that call was the right call for you.

Macha is going to (and is currently) underground and discording, PMing, and plotting away at different people. It wont stop. It’ll continue for the next however many months, or years.

You do you Cobalt. You got this.

    • RE: Star Wars Age of Alliances: Hadrix and Cujo

@Noraaa It’s easy to look back after the fact and say - that person was abusive. However you have to remember some of these people are so damn good at being charismatic.

People like this tend to excel in isolating others into being isolated or part of an isolated group. If you look in from the outside you notice that while they might be supportive they are actually negative. They know how to say the right things.

From negging to gaslighting to other tricks of the trade. They often find things that you can identify with, interests, traits, rp things. To try to get a latch into your world.

A real mu* friend does not:

      • Try to dictate or control who you do or dont rp with (They let you make your own decisions)
      • Encourage bad behavior (I’ve been victim of this before, done dumb things looking back was like - why did I ever do that?)
      • Try to get you to actively work against someone else not in the loop/not for an RP thing
      • Invite you to a game where your presence will give them an ‘up’ in that game
      • Go to discord to particularly shit-talk people. There’s warning people, like this person I’ve heard is troublesome. This might be DWOPP, etc. Then there’s shit-talking. This person likes TS, blah blah blah.
      • This person is Cujo or Hadrix - they are not your friend.
      • Make weird sex comments that are unprompted. No jokes, no unwarranted comments or touches. There is just no need for this behavior in this day and age. OOC communication is key with any kind of thing. Maybe someone isn’t interested in that kind of attention? - Easy fix, a quick page/PM before you make any comments or such goes a long way to not make the person feel weird.

What a good mu* friend WILL do:

      • Help you with your char, get into rp, etc.
      • Not put you or anyone else down
      • Not be a whirlwind of toxic negativity all the time.
      • Encourage positive ideas, creativity
      • Work with you to create stories, ideas
      • Works to bring people/rp groups together instead of creating tight cliques
      • Encourages others to play with people they find good roleplayers and enjoy playing with.

Anyways, that’s my advice/rant. The manipulators are very good at their game usually, and make you feel bad. Try to make you not turn them in. Turning people in is never your fault. If you show a log, and people come to their own conclusions - it’s their behavior that they got in trouble for. Nothing on you. They have the mindset of - I wouldn’t have gotten in trouble if no one turned me in!

    • RE: Star Wars Age of Alliances: Hadrix and Cujo

I’ve read the logs, seen the receipts. And it’s interesting seeing Cujo’s mindspace. He’s so set on something and refuses to budge. It’s exactly - and I mean exactly what people have been describing about him. To the letter.

Dumb jokes when involving sexual anything (parts, gender, orientation) are not in good taste. I’ve made dumb mistakes in the past. But when someone asks you to stop - you STOP. The fact that it continued for what sounds like years? After someone tells you something is in poor taste and you CONTINUE? That’s just flagrant.

He’s so entrenched that he’s not open to different ideas or ways of thinking.

I do feel regret that @Zephyr had to put up with this. Promoting someone to staff that’s had complaints like that is insane. And paying off exactly how one would expect. Some people can learn. Put things aside. And move on from their mistakes. Some people never learn. It’s clear to me they are in that camp.

I do have to say Zephyr, thank you for being open, honest, and coming here to share your experience, story, and the receipts.

    • RE: Star Wars Age of Alliances: Hadrix and Cujo

I can raise my hand and say in the time I played on AOA, the sex problems were real.

Cujo seemed enthusiastic as an admin, but I was disappointed as there’s a family that runs some kind of merc faction there (or did when I played there) Greystorm I think, something like that? One of the players that was a lead there had some real manipulative things going. I’m surprised she wasn’t kicked, but she also was deeply involved in running rp stuff. So I think she’s still there today.

The whole thing where the admin just says this stuff on the channel couldn’t be more blatant though.

Honestly - this reminds me of when Shangrila melted down. The admin Sloth had been accused of breaking the rules, getting involved with his staff alt, etc. People were coming forward, and it was found to be valid and they booted him. Before they did he was posting things that sounded just like him. Wouldn’t be surprised if it’s the same person.

@Cobalt You get a ban! And you get a ban! And you, and you, and you!

Don’t feel like you have to do anything. On MSB there’s some random-ass theory that you wanted Isaack’s player and that’s why you banned Macha. It’s some pretty wild and stupid stuff.

You made a choice. And honestly, it’s the right choice. Because you made it, it was the right choice for you.

There’s a difference in doing something bad or dumb, and taking ownership of it. Then there’s it’s not my fault! Macha is in the refusal of ownership crowd, and apparently so is Hella/Monique. They were persecuted. They don’t take personal responsibility.

You don’t owe anyone anything. Nor anyone explanations. It’s all just random spin-city on MSB.

You came to the community about sharing a bad actor for the community. Thank you for that.

    • RE: Star Wars Age of Alliances: Hadrix and Cujo

@Ashen-Shugar I agree with this. I think he’s ‘all in’ and his behavior - dismissing people and shooing them along - I’m sure he’s calling them disgruntled, etc. Anyone that is of a different thought or opinion (and raises any voice to it) is sent with their bags packing. Or technically no bags, since it’s sudden.

If we’re looking for him to admit fault? That’s not going to happen. Hadrix apparently has zero F’s in his box it seems like too. I don’t know him at all, but from what I’ve seen of him, his behavior, and his char page - he’s probably laughing that he’s the center of attention.

It’s easy to throw around immature, or some might use the word manchild, etc. But his behavior really isn’t immature if you think about it. He’s not throwing a fit. He’s making very specific things happen. Bannings, deletions, cover ups, posts. He’s being as methodical as he can. I personally think that’s signs of intent, malice, and forethought instead of immauturity. But. That’s just my opinion on it anyway.

    • Macha Awareness (And Unappreciation) thread

New thread as it seems one is needed.

In other threads some of the points discussed

      • Macha has been around quite some time, at least 10 years
      • Macha has been accused of completely (and assumedly purposefully) misconstruing events completely unrealistically in logs to put herself in a better light.
      • Macha has been accused of being one very toxic presence
      • Macha has been banned off of Infinite Adventures, and The Pack for inappropriate behavior
      • Macha has tried to use third party agents to get Cobalt to hand her the db to The Pack. (Handover was a hard stop)
      • Macha has crap-talked several players to others
      • Macha is logging into other games as a guest to try to tell people she is not guilty of things that are being discussed.
      • Macha has minions and friends sprinkled about
      • Macha was a contributor to a split between MSB and BMD
      • Macha has been a thorn in a number of games
      • Macha was asked/told to step down on United Heroes as Rogue once upon a time ago.

      Known Community Macha sightings

      • At the crossroads - Buffy and Erica

      • XMM - Xmen Movieverse - Brielle, Alessia, Kate
      • Comic Adventures - Sabrielle
      • Harvest Moons - Pre-banned (never played)

      Other information

      • Known handes: Macha - for historical reference: https://musoapbox.net/user/macha
      • Macha has changed name to CinnamonGirl on different platforms including ares (but this now seems inactive)
      • Known Associates: Ares handle of that1ginger and Yossarian

If I’ve missed anything or misconstrued, please do add!

Edit: Changed point of Macha changed logs, to highlight Macha actually instead just completely misconstrues things even if they aren’t reasonable or reality.

Edit 2: Added known bad actor associate and identifying information

    • RE: Macha Awareness (And Unappreciation) thread

I’ll say that I don’t know Cobalt well at all. I know she’s been kicking around the community a good while. In my limited experiences with her I found her to be pleasant, enthusiastic, and open to different ideas and willing to talk things through. She’s been very tolerant and I get the feeling it takes a lot to piss her off. If she decided that someone was disinvited to her game, I very much trust it’s for a good reason.

I agree that it feels like an attack on Cobalt the way it’s phrased. Cobalt has every right to play, be a part of the community, and enjoy her own damn game. Sometimes that means people are incompatible with that game.

I do believe that Hella got her link wrong in this post
      2f1cee19-2c90-4def-86e3-98d9738e9a58-image.png

It should actually be this link: https://play.arxgame.org/comms/boards/19511/view/1459976

I’ll fix it - Things have a way of coming to light for creepy creepers.

And she talks from experience after being outed as a creepy creeper.

And look at Bessarion with the Macha smackdown over there.

@bear_necessities There is an effort to make Brakebills, it’s an alpha (if even that yet) that’s been public for a bit. Seems like they are taking their time with it.

I had a good feeling when I visited last month, and lots of hope for this one. The people were very friendly.

@DrQuinn I… have not seen this before.

In one sense, he was pretty clear he was dropping. But still, it isn’t the brainspace place of the management. It’s the person. To take that work and outright steal it?

That’s just one of the most disgusting things I’ve ever heard of, and no context can really make this OK. This person should never be running a game. Ever. Anywhere.
